Day 01 :Bhubaneswar-Guwahati

Guwahati, the biggest city of Assam, is treated as The Gateway to the Northeast India and the most important destination in the entire Northeast. Located on the bank of the Brahmaputra River, it is the largest commercial, industrial and educational center of the region. On arrival transfer to hotel. After lunch sight-seeing of Guwahati. Visit Kamakhya temple, state Museum, State Zoo & Umananda Temple. Overnight: Hotel Dynasty, Guwahati.

Day 02:Guwahati-Itanagar

After breakfast drive on the Brahmaputra through the unparralled scenic beauty of the eastern Himalayas to reach to Itanagar(drive 360 km / 08 hrs) & check into the Hotel for overnight stay.

Day 03:Itanagar

Morning after breakfast proceed for Full day sight-seeing of Itanagar, a modern settlement built in the vicinity of the ruins of the medieval capital comprising of two brick wall ramparts. visit Ganga lake (Gekar sinyi) by 2hrs nature walk and then visit Jawaharlal Nehru Museum, Buddhist Gompa & local vegetable market, old port (Ita-port). O/n stay same hotel.

Day 04: Itanagar - Tezpur

After breakfast take the 5-hour drive to Tezpur. Sonitpur as ancient Tezpur was known in the olden days is a city steeped in mythology legend and folklore. The city of blood conjures up images of the romantic legend of Usha and Aniruddha and of the fierce battle between Hari and Hara. Overnight Overnight at Hotel Luit.

Day 05: Tezpur - Shillong

After breakfast depart on the four-hour scenic drive to Shillong. The journey is through hills covered with pineapple and betal plantations and pine forests. Overnight at Hotel Pinewood.

Day 06: Shillong One Day Trip To Cherrapunjee

After breakfast drive 56 km to Cherrapunjee, reportedly the world's wettest place with 7380 mm of rain per year, which is set amidst deep gorges and roaring waterfalls. On the way a network of limestone caves remain unexplored and are said to lead into Bangladesh. There are small waterfalls down every slope, as also the world's fourth tallest, the impressive Nohkailikai Falls. From Mawsami Falls, the landscape gives it the charismatic beauty that it is known for. The first British outpost in this part of the country was established here and it also has the oldest Presbyterian Church in the North-East. It is famous for its orange orchards and orange honey. Visit Thangkharang park from where one can have panaromic view of Bangladesh. An interesting spot on the way is at Maniphalung, a barren and windy plateau covered with monoliths. On the way back to Shillong, stop at Shillong Peak which offers a panoramic view of Shillong and the neighbouring hills. Visit Burra Bazar and Archery Fields at Shillong (closed on Sundays). Overnight in Shillong.

Day 07: Shillong - Guwahati – Bhubaneswar

After an early breakfast depart for Guwahati, in time to board your connect flight/train back home.
