Day 01 :Arrival Guwahati

Guwahati, the biggest city of Assam, is treated as The Gateway to the Northeast India and the most important destination in the entire Northeast. Located on the bank of the Brahmaputra River, it is the largest commercial, industrial and educational center of the region. On arrival transfer to hotel. After lunch sight-seeing of Guwahati. Visit Kamakhya temple, state Museum, State Zoo & Umananda Temple. Overnight in Guwahati.

Day 02:Guwahati-Bomdilla: Picturesque drive, Temple of Orchids

After breakfast drive through the picturesque tea gardens of Tezpur to reach Bhalukpung (240km 5 hrs), on the foothills of Eastern Himalayas. After entry formalities and lunch we enter Arunachal, bounty of unending natural beauty. Driving for 20 minutes through curly roads overlooking the dancing 'Bhoroli' river you arrive at Tipi, where lies the Orchidarium, a glass house having 7500 orchids. We drive on to Bomdila(100km, 4 hrs). On reaching Bomdilla check in to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 03:Bomdilla-Tawang: The Paradise view of North East

Early morning, we will visit the upper and the lower 'Gompa' (Buddhist Monastery) at Bomdilla. After a leisurely breakfast we depart for Tawang (180km, 6 hrs) amidst scinic beauties ,waterfalls ,lakes ,rivers,view points etc on the way,the great Sela pass (14000 feet hight ,jaswanthgarh Indo-china border). Overnight at Tawang .

Day 04: Tawang: Monasteries, Nunneries.

After breakfast, visit 350years old Buddhist monastery, locally known as Gompa, which seemed to be suspended from heaven in an equally ethereal space. Also visit the nunneries locally called Ani Gompa and Urgelling Monastery, 460 years old Monastery established by lama Urghen Sangpo Bhumthang. It is also the birthplace of His holiness 6th Dalai Lama. Stay overnight at Tawang

Day 05: Tawang - Tezpur

After breakfast drive to Tezpur(340 kms). Situated on the north bank of the Brahmaputra, Tezpur is a beautiful and multifaceted city steeped in mythology and history. The city has many archaeological sites, hills, lakes and gardens. We visit the the Mahabhairab Temple believed to have been built by King Bana, has one of the oldest and biggest Shivalingas of the world. The sculptural remains of Bamuni hills date back to 9th Century A.D. A cross- shaped bracket lintel ornamented with horned Kirtimukha panels contains the figures of 10 incarnations of Vishnu. We will also see the Bhomoraguri stone inscription of the Ahom general Kalia Bhomara Barphukan and Harjjar Varman's 9 line inscription, located near Tezpur . Overnight in hotel.

Day 06: Drive Tezpur - Kaziranga

Today morning after sightseeing drive to Kaziranga(140 kms) lies on the south bank of the Brahmaputra, and is famous for its 1000+ population of the great One-Horned Rhinoceros. The terrain we drive is through dense green forests. The home of the one owned Indian Rhinoceros, The Royal Bengal tigers etc. and hundreds of birds' varieties. Overnight at the wild Grass Resort Kaziranga.

Day 07: Kaziranga: Elephant Safari, Rhino

Early morning explore central area of Kaziranga National park on an elephant safari. Ride an Elephant through the park chasing a unicorn rhino along with a wide range of rare species. After lunch again take jeep safari to the central area of the park. Rest of the day at leisure to explore nature. Overnight at tourist Lodge.

Day 08: Kaziranga – Shillong

Early morning drive On arrival transfer to Shillong(325 kms 6 hrs drive) also called the 'Scotland of the East'. Check into your Hotel. Evening stroll around Police Bazar, Shillong's prime location. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 09: One Day Trip To Cherrapunjee

After breakfast drive 56 km to Cherrapunjee, reportedly the world's wettest place with 7380 mm of rain per year, which is set amidst deep gorges and roaring waterfalls. On the way a network of limestone caves remain unexplored and are said to lead into Bangladesh. There are small waterfalls down every slope, as also the world's fourth tallest, the impressive Nohkailikai Falls. From Mawsami Falls, the landscape gives it the charismatic beauty that it is known for. The first British outpost in this part of the country was established here and it also has the oldest Presbyterian Church in the North-East. It is famous for its orange orchards and orange honey. Visit Thangkharang park from where one can have panaromic view of Bangladesh. An interesting spot on the way is at Maniphalung, a barren and windy plateau covered with monoliths. On the way back to Shillong, stop at Shillong Peak which offers a panoramic view of Shillong and the neighbouring hills. Visit Burra Bazar and Archery Fields at Shillong (closed on Sundays). Overnight in Shillong.

Day 10:Shillong-Guwahati

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and reach at Guwahati(100 kms 3hrs drive). Post Lunch take a half day sightseeing of Guwahati covering Kamakhya Temple, Tirupati Balaji Temple, Kalashetra, Raj Bhawan, Local markets, sunset cruise in the Brahmaputra. Evening visit Kalakshetra, a huge mdern complex has been established with the purpose of preservation and promotion of the rich socio-cultural heritage of Assam. It is open for visitors on all days except on Monday. Overnight at Hotel at Guwahati.

Day 11: Guwahati Departure

After breakfast check-out hotel & transferred to the domestic airport of Guwahati to board the flight back to your home with sweet memories, a bundle of souvenirs and an address book full of friends.
