WONDERS AT TRINIDAD & TABAGO

Day 01 :Bhubaneswar –Trinidad

Welcome to Trinidad. Arrive at Piarco International airport in Trinidad and after completing the formalities you shall be transferred to your hotel. The largest and more populous of the two major islands, it is the southernmost island in the Caribbean. Overnight at Trinidad.

Day 02 : Trinidad - Angostura Distillery & Butterfly Collection, Maracas Beach

10:00 a.m - Depart hotel after breakfast to arrive at Angostura Distillery. Tour includes the history of Angostura products, sampling session and opportunities to purchase products. Then proceed to the world renowned Butterfly Collection at the Angostura.

12:30 p.m - We depart Angostura and head through Santa Cruz Valley to arrive at Maracas Beach at 1:30 p.m - for the famous shark and bake sandwiches. Guests can then relax on the beach and/or swim.

4:30 p.m - Depart Maracas Beach for hotel. Return approximately 5:20 p.m
Evening time free on your own. Overnight in Trinidad

Day 03 : Trinidad - Gasparee Caves, Monos Island, Scotland Bay

10:00 a.m - Depart hotel after breakfast to arrive at Cruise Inn, Chaguaramas. Guests board boat to be transferred to the Gasparee Caves. Stalactites stalagmites are found in the cave. Guests can swim in the pool fed by the sea. The cave is artificially lit to reflect the beauty of the inner sanctuary of the cave.

12:30 p.m- Depart Gasparee Caves to explore the rock formations of the islands in the Grand Bocas. Opportunity for swimming at beaches on these islands available. Then venture to Scotland Bay for the afternoon for swimming. Light refreshment and fruits. 5:00 p.m - Return to hotel, relax and have early dinner.

8:30 p.m - Depart hotel for pan yard experience (for large groups). Return at 10:00 p.m

Day 04: Trinidad - Pitch Lake, Caroni Swamp Bird Sanctuary

9:30 a.m - Breakfast then depart for Pitch Lake in the southland.

10:30 a.m - Arrival at Pitch Lake. Tour of the lake to include history and present use of the lake of pitch. The surface of the lake, which is firm enough to walk on, is broken into a series of large folds formed by slow continual movement. Little cavities formed all over the surface, is filled with sulphureted gas and salt water which occasionally bubbles and plops. The activity of gas escaping from the oil trap mixed the condensed oil, sediments and water into a gigantic, thick, sticky blob which spread out a little at the outer edge is evident.

12:30 p.m-Depart Pitch Lake for Gulf City Mall for lunch and shopping.
2:45 p.m-Leave Gulf City for Caroni Swamp Bird Sanctuary
4:00 p.m-Guests board boat for the 2.5 hour tour into the beautiful Caroni Swamp.

This beautiful Mangrove Wetland is the home of the exotic Scarlet Ibis and 186 other species of bird wildlife - Egrets, Herons, wading birds are seen on the mud bars. Spectacled caiman basking in the sun; Silky anteaters on mangrove trees. The most memorable sight however, is the Scarlet Ibis returning to roost on the mangrove trees. As the sun sets, thousands of birds return from feeding grounds to roost for the night. Visitors are mesmerized by the transformation of mangrove trees into living Christmas trees - a sight to behold! Overnight in Trinidad

Day 05:Trinidad - Tobago (Early morning flight) Buccoo Reef, Nylon Pool, Pigeon Point Swim Day

Trinidad / Tobago - This morning, transfer to the airport for your flight to Tobago. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
10:00 a.m - Depart hotel and transfer to Buccoo Reef on glass bottomed boat. Guest can observe coral formations and exotic fishes in the reef through the glass. The area is dominated by colonies of brain corals, star corals, finger and flower corals, staghorn and Elkhorn corals. Gardens of gorgonians, fire corals, sea fans and sea feather corals provide a suitable habitat for angle fishes, trunk fishes, parrot fishes, black bar soldier fish and many more.
The Nylon Pool which is only about four feet deep is really a plateau of dead coral which was pulverized by wave action thousands of years ago into a table of fine coral sand. Situated away from the land and out into the sea you swim in the fresh and pure waters of the Caribbean. The Nylon Pool is believed to have rejuvenating powers.
1:30 p.m- Depart Nylon Pool for Pigeon Point. Lunch and swim.
5:00 p.m- Return to hotel, dinner.
Overnight in Tobago

Day 06:Tobago - Main Ridge Rainforest Experience, Island Circle

9:30 a.m - Depart hotel after breakfast for day tour into the Main Ridge Rainforest. Enjoy a leisurely walk through a tropical rain forest accompanied by guide who will point out birds and other wildlife.
2:00 p.m - Depart Main Ridge for Island Circle.
5:00 p.m - Return to hotel. Relax, Dinner.
Overnight in Tobago

Day 07:Tobago - Scarborough, Fort George

9:30 a.m - Depart hotel after breakfast for historical sites and forts. After historical tour, relax at Pigeon Point. Day is free to explore on your own. Overnight in Tobago

Day 08:Tobago – Bhubaneswar

This morning, your stay in the paradise comes to an end as you are transferred to Tobago airport for your flight back home via Trinidad or onward journey.
