Day 01 : Arrive Bhubaneswar

Insight Vacations welcomes you to the temple city of Bhubaneswar, where legacies of Utkalian temple architecture catching eye of visitors since centuries. Visit Lingaraj Temple-the masterpiece, Mukteswar Temple, Rajarani Temple & Brahmeswar temple.

Day 02 : In Bhubaneswar

NandanKanan - Kahandagiri & Udaygiri

Morning visit Nandankanan Zoolgical Park famous for its 34 white tiger population. Later proceed to Khandagiri & Udaygiri Caves built in 1st century B.C are honeycombed with excavated rock-cut single & double storied caves, essentially meant for the dwelling retreats of the Jaina recluses.

Day 03 : Bhubaneshwar to  Puri

Hirapur- Dhauli – Pipili – Konark

This morning after breakfast, drive to Hirapur which enshrines 64 Yogini temple of 9th Century. This Hypaethral temple is an archeological wonder til today. Visit Dhauli, on the banks of the River Daya, houses the marvelous Edicts of Ashoka imprinted on a mass of rock & a grand Shanti Stupa or Peace Pagoda built in 1972 by the Japan Buddha Sangha and the Kalinga Nippon Buddha Sangha. Enroute visit Pipli -The Appliqué Village, Best known for the gorgeous appliqué work. Later proceed to the famous temple at Konark. This beautiful Sun temple built in the 13th century in honour of the Sun God is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its exquisite carvings testify to the high standard of ancient Odia art and architectural skill. Drive through Fishermans village at Chandrabhaga Beach.

Day 04 : In Puri

Satapada on Chillika - Raghurajpur

Morning visit the most awaited Lord Jagannath temple. This 12th century temple is known for its annual Rathayatra or car festival. Proceed to Chilika lake at Satapada. Take the boat trip on the lake to meet Dolphins in nature .Visit the island where sea meets the lake. Afternoon visit Raghurajpur a Heritage Craft village where the entire community is involved in making PattaChitra-miniature painting which is executed on a small strip of cotton cloth using artistic engraved Palm Leafs driven by religious themes.

Day 05 : Puri to Gopalpur-on-Sea

Drive to Gopalpur - on – Sea, a quiet and charming sea resort along the Bay of Bengal. It offers secluded environment and magnificent sun, surf and sand for most of the year. It had a noble history as a seaport with connections to Southeast Asia, the evidence of which is still scattered through the town in the form of romantically deteriorating old buildings

Day 06 : Gopalpur to Rayagada

Taptapani - Chandragiri

Visit picturesqueTaptapani hot water springs renowned for their medicinal value. Drive to Chandragiri to visit Buddhist Monasteries of architectural marvel of Tibetan refugees settled since 1963. Also visit Tankilipadar, Lobarsingi, Jiranga, and Mahendragada & their market with Tibetan wall mats, carpets, handicrafts and leather goods. Drive to Rayagada.

Day 07 : In Rayagada

Bissamkatak

Drive to Bissamcuttack to visit the Desia Kondh market (should be a Tuesday) and craftsman village. Later visit one of the original primitive Dongariya Kondh village.

Day 08: Rayagada to Jeypore

Chatikona Market(Wednesday)

Morning proceed to Chatikona to witness the colourful weekly market of the Kondh tribes. Witness the interesting ornamental Tribes come down from their mountain will known as Niayamgiri hill range. This is an unique opportunity to witness them before they come and mix with other community in the market, so we will take you 2/3 km from the market near the Niyamgiri hill, so to watch & enjoy these community coming down with different kinds of fruits, animal etc. Later drive to Jeypore enroute visit some villages of Paraja tribes lunch en route.

Day 09 : In Jeypore

Onukadeli Market - Litiput (Thursday)

Early am visit is the home of the Bondas (primitive tribe). They live in the remote hills and keep themselves isolated. They grow rice by shifting cultivation and keep domesticated cows and goats. They can only be seen when they come to trade at the local market, and we must time our visit to coincide with the weekly market. The Bonda women are noticeable by their bead necklaces, striking brass and silver neck lets and their shaved heads decorated with plaits of Palmyra leaves. Later drive back to jeypore enroute visiting Litiput the pottery village of Paraja tribal village. O/n at Hotel

Day 10 : Jeypore to Similiguda

Kundli Market(Friday)

Excursion to Kundli market, the biggest weekly market of the Parajas and Mali tribes.

Day 11: Similiguda to Jagdalpur

Kotpad –Natural Vegetable Dye

Drive to Jagdalpur headquarter of Bastar District. Enroute witness a orientation workshop of Natural Dye used in tribal textile by Mirgans at Kotpad. The hand woven textiles of Kotpad are known for the use of the natural red dye that is extracted from the roots of the Al tree. The stark simplicity is the hallmark of Kotpad weaves, achieved by the play of Al-red with off-white, and motifs drawn from nature and local culture

Day 12: In Jagdalpur

Kanger valley

Full day visit to Kanger valley national park to enjoy one of the finest virgin forest tracts on earth, limestone caves known for beautiful stalagmite and stalactite formations. Also visit some of the tribal people in their homes before enjoying your picnic lunch at the popular Tirathgarh falls.

Day 13: In Jagdalpur

Chitrakoot - Nagarnar

Visit to the famous Chitrakote falls, the Niagara like horseshoe waterfall created by Bastar's Indravati River. Also visit the Anthropological museum to get an interesting insight into Bastar's tribal culture. Later drive to Nagarnar famous for its Terracotta handicrafts. Overnight hotel in Jagdalpur

Day 14: Jagdalpur to Kanker

Kondagaon-Narayanpur

Drive to Kondagaon which is midway between Jagdalpur and Kanker. Visit Shilpgram (Handicraft village). Take an excursion to Narayanpur village famous for finest Baster handicraft like bell metal figures, wood craft, wrought iron and bamboo artifacts. Drive to Kanker. Upon arrival at Kanker Palace get pamper by the royal host who interpret and explain the folklore and tradition of the Sate they once ruled

Day 15: Kanker to Kawardha

Gond & BaigaVillage

Visit the villages of Gond & Baiga Tribe around & afternoon visit of one of the Weekly market to watch the trading of Tribal with the public from local areas. The Name derivers from Telugu word Konda, means Hill. This is a Nomadic Tribe. This is one group who believes in Hindu Religion & they have different sub divisions in the group. They have the Ghotul System where the men & women live separately in this Dormitory called Ghotul. Once the marriage is decided, they go out of Ghotul & start their life in the village with other Elder members. This society accepts, Remarriage, Widow marriage & divorce. In this society like other Tribal Groups, they pay a heavy price for the Bride as a respect to women power in the family

Day 16: Kawardha - Raipur

Bhoramdeo & Rajiv Lochan Temple

Visit Bhoramdeo Temple famous for its architecture through perfect blend of religious and erotic sculptures. Drive to Raipur. Visit Rajim group of temples built in 1000 A.D dedicated to lord Vishnu called Rajiv Lochan on the bank of river Mahanadi.

Day 17 : Departure

Time to bid farewell with sweet memories of your experiences. Tour Ends.
