Day 01 : Arrive  Puri

Papier Mache,shell works & Miniature paintings

Visit the most awaited Lord Jagannath temple. This 12th century temple is known for its annual Rathayatra or car festival. Later proceed to the famous temple at Konark. This beautiful Sun temple built in the 13th century in honour of the Sun God is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Its exquisite carvings testify to the high standard of ancient Odia art and architectural skill. Return to Puri to experience Papier Mache & shell works. Afternoon visit Raghurajpur a Heritage Craft village where the entire community is involved in making Patta Chitra-miniature painting which is executed on a small strip of cotton cloth using artistic engraved Palm Leafs driven by religious themes. The subject matter of Patta paintings is limited to religious themes. The stories of Rama and Krishna are usually depicted on the pattas. "Rasa Lila", "Vastra Haran", "Kaliya Dalan" are some of the recurring themes of Patta art.  They are painted with bright colours and possess a charm peculiarity of their own. Their pictorial conceptions, their unique painting technique and line formations together with colour schemes make them a remarkably original art form. Chitrakar-traditional  painters in and around Puri practice this living art form. The village of Raghurajpur is where many Chitrakars live in an area dedicated to them called Chitrakar Sahi distinct from any other school of painting either in or outside India.

Day 02 : Puri to Bhubaneswar

Applique-Stone Sculptures- Bell Metal Work

Drive to Pipli -The Appliqué Village, Best known for the gorgeous appliqué work where a vibrant community of craftsmen specialises inapplique craft . In fact, the village owes its existence to this craft. Applique works of Pipili is also known as patching cloth design and in local language this handicraft is known as 'Chandua'. The villagers are involved in the process of cutting coloured cloth into shapes of animals, birds, flowers, leaves, gods, goddesses and other decorative motifs and stitching them over a piece of cloth. These creations are then fabricated into lampshades, handbags, cushion covers or even garden umbrellas.

Visit Itipur near Dhaui to witness artisans working on to make beautiful stone sculptures. Also visit Balakati to watch Brass and Bell Metal Works. On arrival at Bhubaneswar experience the centuries long legacies of Utkalian temple architecture. Visit Lingaraj Temple-the masterpiece, Mukteswar, Rajarani & Brahmeswar Temple

Day 03 : Bhubaneswar to Boudh

Olasingh

Drive to Olasing, famous for Tasser weaving in traditional way. The whole villagers are working on the above field and really a very nice place to watch all kind of activities. Later proceed to Boudh. Enroute meet craftsmen i.e. basket maker, leaf plate makers

Day 04: Boudh to Bolangir

Sagarpalli-Sonepur

Drive to Sagarpalli to visit weaving factory of Silk & Cotton. Get the idea of design development, weaving, processing. Witness some houses of JALLA work. Drive to Sonepur to visit master craftsman specially to see the best natural dying process, ingredients, traditional design with Script in fabrics & the pocket loom etc.

Day 05: Bolangir to Sambalpur

Barapali-Bargarh

Drive to Barpali, the village of Tassar Silk and Cotton weavers. Get spoilt in some beutifull pattern Sarees i.e. Bichitrapuri, Kotibramhanda Sundari. Later drive to Bargarh to witness "bandha" work by the weaving society. Arrive Sambalpur& get some famous dress materials with Ikat motifs on cotton Tassar and Bapta with Jalla materials.

Day 06:Sambalpur - Bhubaneswar

Nuapatna – Sadeibarani-Cuttack

Drive to villages in Nuapatna widely known for the intricate, painstaking skills exhibited in their fabrics. Their TIE & DYE patterns popularly known as 'IKAT'. Experience all steps of the Ikat Bandha work in Silk Tasser & Eri Silk. Visit Sadeibarini to witness indigenous method of metal craft 'Dhokra. Drive to Cuttack where more than hundred families are engaged in silver filigree work 'Cuttacki tarkasi', renowned for its delicate artistry and brilliant craftsmanship.

Day 07 : Departure

Time to bid farewell with sweet memories of your experiences. Tour Ends.
