Day 01: Bhubaneswar - Auckland

On arrival in Auckland, you will be met by a Hallmark Limousines representative and transferred to your hotel by private vehicle.

Auckland - an exciting, sporting and cultural city, sprawled on a narrow isthmus, between two harbours. The Waitemata and Manukau Harbours, are a main feature of the city, along with numerous volcanic cones such as Mount Eden and Rangitoto Island. The city's many beaches, marinas and parks, make it ideal for outdoor pursuits such as yachting, rugby, cricket or a day at the beach. The Auckland metropolitan area is New Zealand's biggest city, and the population mix of European, Maori, and Pacific Islander, make Auckland the largest Polynesian city in the World.

Day 02: Auckland - Rotorua

Cooked breakfast is included at the hotel. Post breakfast drive to Rotorua to visit Waitomo Glow Worm Caves (Summer 9am-5.30pm, winter 9am-5pm)

Stop at the sensational Waitomo Caves, the glow worm adorned environment will provide some very intriguing sightseeing. Over your 45 minute guided tour, you'll take in the spectacular Glowworm Cave with its majestic and ornate cave decorations, the deep limestone shaft known as the Tomo and the equally magnificent Cathedral. Your tour guide will deliver an informative and entertaining commentary, sharing stories, cultural legends and the natural wonders of this living masterpiece. Your visit concludes with a brief, yet remarkably moving, boat trip through the Glowworm Grotto.

Day 03 :Rotorua

Cooked breakfast is included at the hotel. Rotorua sightseeing including Te Puia Thermal Reserve and New Zealand Maori Arts & Crafts Institute guided tour, Rainbow Springs admission and Agrodome sheep show.
Te Puia (open summer 8am-6pm, winter 8am-5pm Guided tours hourly from 9am, daytime Maori concerts 10.15am, 12.15pm & 3.15pm) Te Puia and Maori Arts and Crafts Institute where History is carved and woven into meeting houses, canoes, weapons and jewellery. You will also experience the wonders of the thermal area by stepping into an ancient valley where geysers, mud pools and boiling waters still play after 40,000 years.
Admission to Rainbow Springs Trout and Fauna Sanctuary where you will see a live Kiwi, a living dinosaur (the Tuatara), feed the rainbow trout and enjoy a stroll through the beautiful New Zealand native bush.
Agrodome Sheep Show is presented three times daily - 9:30am, 11:00am and 2:30pm, duration of one hour. An exciting and informative insight into agriculture in New Zealand, including an introduction to our 19 breeds of sheep, sheep shearing demonstration, lively Auction, noisy Huntaway dogs and the quiet Strong-eye dog demonstrations, cow milking and lamb feeding opportunities.
Lakeland Queen Dinner Cruise (7pm-9pm)
The delightful 3-hour dinner cruise offers you plenty of entertainment and a great range of delicious culinary choices. We leave the Rotorua Lakeside at 7.00 pm and gently cruise along viewing the city lights and sights by night.
Enjoy the mouth-watering flavours of the variety of international dishes from the buffet during the Dinner Cruise. There is a range of delightful food to choose from including carvery, seafood, salads, and fantastic desserts. After dinner, it is time to relax or dance the night away. There are full bar facilities on board, offering you a great selection of fine wine, beers and spirits.
You will surely have a lot of fun on board the Lakeland Queen before docking again at 9.00 pm.

Day 04: Rotorua

Cooked breakfast is included at the hotel. All day is free at leisure and explore Rotorua by drive.

Day 05: Rotorua - Christchurch

Cooked breakfast is included at the hotel. Drive to airport. Drop off your rental car before flight check in. Depart Rotorua for Christchurch (air fare not included). Upon arrival at Christchurch airport, pick up your rental car and drive to hotel.

Christchurch - the Garden City, lies on the level plains that initially attracted the closely knit Church of England settlers that settled the area. The largest of the South Island cities, Christchurch retains something of the English nature of its origins - the willow and oak-lined River Avon and clustered mediaeval stone buildings.

Day 06: Christchurch - Kaikoura

Cooked breakfast is included at the hotel. Drive to Kaikoura. Enjoy Kaikoura Whale Watch Cruise (p.s.: children under 3 years old are not permitted on board)
Whale Watch Kaikoura Whale Watch Tour (departs 7.15am, 10am, 12.45pm, duration 2.5 hours) Child under 3 yrs old & pax with heart problem not permitted on board.
Reporting time for your Whale Watch Kaikoura office which located at the Whaleway Station, Whaleway Station Road, Kaikoura. A typical whale watch tour (boat excursion duration 2.5 hours) may encounter New Zealand fur seals, pods of dusky dolphins and the endangered wandering albatross. Depending on the season you may also see migrating humpback whales, pilot whales, blue whales and southern right whales. Kaikoura often hosts the world's largest dolphin "the orca" and is home to the world's smallest and rarest - the hector's. Kaikoura also attracts the largest concentration and variety of seabirds on mainland New Zealand including 13 species of albatross, 14 varieties of petrels and seven types of shearwater. Designed for New Zealand whale watching tours, their modern catamarans are equipped with engines that minimise underwater noise and toilets that never pollute the sea. The main passenger cabin is enclosed and large outside decks offer great viewing and photo opportunities.

Day 07:Kaikoura - Nelson

Morning after Breakfast checkout of Hotel. Later drive to Nelson. On arrival check in to Hotel. Overnight stay.
Nelson - with its gardens and gorgeous sunsets, looks across Tasman Bay. Streets and Parks are named after Admiral Nelson and his exploits, as well as the names of the ships that brought the first pioneers over from England. Forestry, fruit and fishing are the main focus of Nelson's port, while to the west, apple orchards, tobacco and hop plantations occupy the land.

Day 08: Nelson

Day 09: Nelson - Greymouth

Cooked breakfast is included at the hotel. Drive to Greymouth. Overnight at Hotel.
Greymouth - is the chief commercial centre for the West Coast. The town is a river port where a stone breakwater directs the rough action of the tide and river to the river bar. The town was founded on gold, and continued on coal. Now, however, the main trade is timber, offset by sheep/dairying and cattle raising. The town takes its name from its river, the Grey. Greymouth also has an unusual wind phenomenon - a katabatic wind which is a movement of cold air down a steep slope (the Southern Alps). This wind which starts as a mild breeze at the top of the range, emerges at the town's centre as "The Barber", a wind that feels like the cold steel of a barber's razor blade, and just as cutting.

Day 10: Greymouth - Glacier Region (Franz Josef / Fox Glacier)

Cooked breakfast is included at the hotel. Drive to the Glacier Region of Franz Josef or Fox Glacier.
Franz Josef Glacier - Originally named Victoria, after Queen Victoria of England, geologist Julius Von Haast, renamed it, Franz Josef, after the current Emperor of his homeland, Austria. The Glacier is pale blue/green ice that has retreated and advanced many times over the years. A walk from the carpark to the Glacier terminal will give you some impressive views and an idea of the immense size of the Glacier itself. The township of Franz Josef is a small town based around the tourist and supply trade.

Day 11: Glacier Region - Wanaka

Morning after breakfast in the hotel drive to Wanaka. Overnight at Wanaka
Wanaka - faces north across Lake Wanaka, to views of the surrounding mountains, which are often reflected on the Lake's surface on calm days. Poplars and willows grow around the Lake's edge, affording a colourful show during Autumn. Wanaka is best known for boating, fishing and skiing at the Cardrona and Treble Cone ski-fields

Day 12: Wanaka - Queenstown

Morning after breakfast in the hotel drive to Queenstown. Overnight at Queenstown.
Queenstown - is the South Island's most popular resort, set alongside the shores of Lake Wakatipu, under the gaze of the Remarkables Ranges. See the contrast of smooth glacier rounded hills, and jagged mountain summits that reach high above the ancient ice floor. The town is renowned for its jet boating, bungy-jumping, skiing and awe-inspiring scenery. Local story has it, that the gold prospectors of the 19th century pronounced the town as "fit for any Queen", and so she was called Queenstown.

Day 13: Queenstown

Morning after breakfast in the hotel day free at leisure. Overnight at Queenstown.

Shotover Jet Boat Ride

Depart on the Shotover Jet courtesy coach to Shotover River. From the moment the accelerator hits the floor your adrenaline hits the roof as you speed in mere centimetres of water along the famous Shotover River and deep into the spectacular Shotover River Canyons. It's an amazing ride, as the Shotover Canyon walls tower over you, your expert driver puts your "Big Red" through its paces and skilfully whips the Jet Boat past rocky outcrops, skims around crags and boulders, and speeds through the narrow canyons. Rock faces blur in your peripheral vision, the opaque water sprays into myriads of white crystals with every turn, and you grip the hand rail for comfort and reassurance and then let out a whoop of excitement as your driver spins the boat around in its own boat length - wow, you've just experienced the World famous Shotover Jet full 360 degree spin. Hold on tight and enjoy the thrill as you spin and without losing momentum keep speeding along the river. Following your jet boat ride you will be returned to Queenstown by the Shotover courtesy coach.
Minimum child height to travel is 1 mtrs in height. On some days where river level's require it, child height requirement may be 1.2mtrs to travel. This is purely a safety requirement and will be strictly adhered to.

Day 14: Queenstown

Day 15: Queenstown - Dunedin

Dunedin - often called the "Edinburgh of the South", Dunedin was settled by the Scottish settlers that came to New Zealand. It is a city of spires, of towers, gables and roofs with turrets, and gracious, generally stone, buildings. Dunedin is also home to the Albatross and Penguin colonies plus many species of New Zealand wildlife.

Day 16: Dunedin

Day 17: Dunedin - Mt Cook

Cooked breakfast is included at the hotel. Drive to Mt Cook.
The Helicopter Line Alpine Vista Flight (duration 20 mins)
Reporting time for your flight at this short scenic option is the ideal opportunity to touch snow and experience the thrill of a helicopter flight. Sweep through the rugged high country landscape of the Ben Ohau Mountain Range to a landing site on a snow field high in the mountains. Enjoy the fantastic vista from this alpine setting as you look out to the mountains and glaciers, and down into the valleys that were carved out by glaciers centuries ago.
All flights require a minimum number of 3 passengers for departures.

Mount Cook - whose Maori name "Aorangi" means "Cloud Piercer" is some 3753.5 metres high and surrounded by a host of massive peaks. Mount Cook is New Zealand's highest mountain, and can quite often be surrounded by cloud, constantly vulnerable to the fast changing weather patterns of an alpine climate.

Day 18: Mt Cook - Christchurch

Day 19: Depart Christchurch

Cooked breakfast is included at the hotel. Drive to Christchurch airport. Drop off your rental car before flight check in. Visit International Antarctic Centre before departure (walking distance from the airport terminal, follow blue foot print on the ground). A full day pass for attraction admission and Hagglund ride is included.
