This Kailash – Mansarovar Yatra is most popular and preferred by majority of pilgrims. All the yatri will arrive Kathmandu and stay for 2 nights. In Kathmandu all necessary briefing will be given and our executive/sherpa will assist you to collect important items. 2 day evening will be free for packing in Duffel bags (your suitcases will be left in Kathmandu hotel). Early morning, on Day 3, start driving from Kathmandu to Tibet for Kailash Yatra.
Important attraction of the yatra is …… Holy dip in Mansarovar Lake and 3 days Kailash Parikrama (kora). Completeyour Kailash parikrama and drive back to Kathmandu with unforgettable life time experiences.

Maximum Altitude: 5700 mtr (during 2 day of Kailash Parikrama)

Starting/Ending point: Kathmandu (Capital of Nepal)

Transportation: Land Cruiser/Volvo depending on group size and your requirement.

Food in Yatra: 100% Vegetarian food cooked by our Sherpa cook. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)

Day 01 Arrive Kathmandu (1300 mtr)
Welcome of Kailash Yatri at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu and drive to hotel.
Briefing of Kailash yatra details will be given in Hotel and you will be meeting our Sherpa team.
Rest of the day free and overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 02 Kathmandu – visit temples
Today morning half day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu. Visit: Pashupatinath Temple and Budhaneelkanth. Return to hotel for lunch. After lunch free time for final preparation for Kailash Yatra i.e. checking and demonstration of equipments which will be used during the yatra. If you need to buy or hire few things our staff will assist you. After dinner free time to prepare your bags and other necessary stuffs for Holy Kailash Yatra.Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 03 Kathmandu – Nyalam 3750 mtr (150 kms)
Early breakfast and begin Mt. Kailash - Mansarovar Yatra. Drive through Bhaktapur, Dhulikhel and reach Friendship Bridge (i.e. Nepal-China border) by mini coach. Short walk of about 10 minutes to cross Friendship Bridge and meet your Tibetan guide. Brief information and than drive to Zhangmu and complete immigration and custom formalities. Continue drive to Nyalam and direct transfer to guest house. Rest of the day free and overnight stay.

Day 04 Nyalam – day free for acclimatization.
Today is free for acclimatization. We will be going for short trek which is a preparation for Kailash Parikrama and helps to acclimatize fast. Overnight at guest house.

Day 05 Nyalam – Saga 4450 mtr (232 kms) OR Dongpa (passing through Labug-La 5150 mtr)
Early breakfast and drive to Saga OR Dongpa. First long drive over the sandy and rocky land of Tibet, other things like lake, nomads chasing thousands of yaks and sheep keeping you busy. Today you will be passing through the first highest pass Labug-La 5050m. Stop and stay for about 10 minutes at Labung-La and experience how you feel at an altitude of 5050 mtr. We can see Gaurishankar, Shishapangma to Langtang Himal. Continue drive through Khunmen Tso, Sinling, Karru Ongchen and Peigutso Lake (4400m). We will be crossing River Brahmaputra (Tibetan name “Yarling Tsangpo”) to reach Saga (4600m). Overnight stay at guest house.

Day 06 Saga – Mansarovar (4558m) 500 km:
Saga to Mansarovar is the longest drive for about 500 km but road is good and enjoy comfortable drive. The longest driving day starts with full of excitement, Jeeps and trucks roll on the wide valley following rivers and grazing land of yaks and sheep. Far south you can see snow covered peaks nearby you, lots of rocky peaks and sand dunes give you an ideal world. Depends on season, nomads and other mobile shopkeepers are attired by beautiful traditional costume, waiting for your arrival with hot tea and other supplies along with big smile. Late afternoon arrive Mansarovar and you can have the first glimpse of Holy Mt. Kailash Parbat and Manasarovara. Hore – a small village nearby Lake Manasarover. Holy-Manasarovara: At 14950-ft/4558m. The highest lake of fresh water with turquoise complexion in the world is full of fishes and swans. Holy Kailash Parbat, Mt. Gurula-Mandata, Lake Raksheshi are laying on its surrounding. The region is considered rich for gold and other mines, hot springs and hundreds of wild living creatures. Night halt beside Mansarovar.

Day 07 Mansarovar – Tarchen 4560 mtr (40 kms)
Holy Mansarovar is the lake of compassion, tranquility and bliss. After completing the memorable morning bath and puja we will be heading for Holy Mansarovar Parikrama and continue drive towards Tarchen (Darchen). Tarchen is considered as a base camp for Holy Kailash Parikrama.
Day 08 Tarchen – Tarboche 4750 mtr(13 kms drive) – Dirapuk (4860 mtr) (7 km trek / 5 – 6 hrs)
After breakfast drive to Tarboche – starting point of Kailash Parikrama.Tarboche is also known as outer “Asthapath”. It is one of the exciting days walking along the beautiful rocky cliffs; water falls with some clouds in the clear blue sky make you feeling that Great God Shiva is every where with tons of blessing to you. Time to time the face of Kailash Parbat will be keep on appearing. For 7 km trail it takes almost 7 hrs.

Day 09 Dirapuk – Zuthulpuk(4760 mtr)(18 km trek/9-10 kms) (passing through Dolma-la pass 5,200 mtr)
Today you will be climbing to Drolma-la (Dolma-La 18600 ft) and than descending gradually to Zuthulpuk (4760m). Yamasthal should be crossed to reach the Shiva-sthal while your steps go closer to the pass. Today is the most difficult day of the trek. Once you reach the top, just do the holiest offering and sit down for meditation to forget yourself. Once your steps go down, Parvati-stal and Gauri Kunda are on the way. By late
afternoon you will arrive Zuthulpuk (the cave of Miracles, the great ascetic Milerappa is supposed to have preformed miracles here).

Day 10 Zuthulpuk–Tarchen (Darchen)(10 km/4-5 hrs)–Mansarovar (end of Kailash Parikrama)
Morning free time to explore the caves, temples and shrine around Milarepa cave. After walking 3 hours, all the driving crew will be waiting your arrival. By late afternoon you will be at your lodge/camp near Mansarovar Lake.

Day 11: Drive to Dongpa / Saga (460 kms) 8 - 9 hrs.
Morning fill up the holy water from Mansarovar Lake (Holy Jaal / water).  Drive to Dongpa for the night stay.

Day 12: Dongba to Nyalam (296 kms) 6 - 7 hrs.
Drive to Nyalam or Zang Mu, which is the last night stay in Tibet part.

Day 13 : Nyalam to Katmandu(150 kms) 8 – 9 hrs.
After breakfast, we drive to Zhangmu & Friendship Bridge Tibet – Nepal boarder. After customs & immigration formalities or clearance at both Tibet & Nepal sides, we will be picked up from the Nepal side by a Tourist coach & continue the drive to Kathmandu for about 5 hours. Our lunch will be on the way or on early arrival in Kathmandu.

Day 14 Transfer to airport for your onward flight.

Accommodation:
Please note, single/twin sharing rooms is possible only in Kathmandu and during camping.
All other places only small guest houses or hotels are available, where only big rooms with 4/5 or 6 beds(dormitories) is possible and yatri has to share the room with other Kailash Yatries.

  • Any extra cost due to partition from the main group due to sickness or any other reasons.
  • Tipping and any other expenses of personal nature and which is not mentioned above.

Packing List (Yatries must carry with them)

  • A small day pack. (Back pack for personal items)
  • Enough clothing for the whole Yatra. Do not over load your bag.
  • Any regular medicines that you take
  • Toiletries’ kit (soap, shampoo, toothbrush, towels etc).
  • Water bottle / Thermos/ Flask for hot water (2 liters).
  • Sports shoes & Trekking boots (light weight & comfortable for walking)
  • Woolen socks (around 4 pairs).
  • Wool/thermal long underwear (comfortable dress fo r Parikrama).
  • Note : Ladies should carry a pair of Kurta Surwal / Pants for the Parikrama
  • Monkey cap
  • Underpants (3 or 4).
  • Gloves. Dust mask
  • Sunglasses.
  • Sun lotion cream. Lip guard
  • Nuts, Biscuits, Dry fruits, Powder juice.
  • Rain wear (Umbrella or Raincoat)
  • Torchlight /flashlight / Candle / Matchsticks
  • Also advised to bring:
  • Glucose & Electral packets which is good for instant energy.
  • Dry fruits, juice powder, candy, canned or packed food, nuts and biscuits etc.

  • Down Jacket (to be returned after Holy Kailash Yatra)
  • Duffel Bag, (may be taken away after Holy Kailash Yatra)
  • Sleeping Bag, (to be returned after Holy Kailash Yatra)
  • A certificate of Kailash Yatra Parikrama.

Health Guidance:
All Pilgrims (Yatri) are advised to prepare for this Holy Kailash – Mansarovar yatra well before six months of Yatra date. As a preparation yatri should walk minimum 3 – 5 km daily. Besides walking jogging, running, swimming and joining a health club OR Yoga (under a perfect Yoga Teacher) will be additional activities which helps a lot to perform Holy Kailash Yatra (parikrama) successfully.
Fitness Certificate:
A fitness certificate, issued by a doctor (MBBS) is mandatory at the time of booking OR one month before the Yatra Date. Along with fitness certificate, please also submit:
-TMT test report.
-Blood Haemogram
-ECG Report.
